Ultraviolet disinfection, how it works?

The UV-C radiation used by our disinfection devices has great germicidal power. According to a defined exposure time, it destroys all types of micro-organisms present on the surfaces exposed to the lamps: viruses, bacteria, yeasts and fungi.

These emitted radiations cross the cytoplasmic membrane of the organisms and penetrate the nucleus of the cell, breaking the molecular structure of the DNA and thus rendering the microorganism harmless.
